issues:
* no ability to remove highlighting
* cannot pause highlight functionality without disabling/removing extension

I usually use the "super simple highlighter" extension in chrome and needed an alternative in firefox.
I love the simplicity of this add-on and that you can export to markdown (haven't tested). What I miss as a researcher is a shortcut to remove the highlighted area in case of unintended highlighting.
