It's good but as a speed dial, it's not really so speedy. The 2 main problems which need fixing are:

1- It allows you to create new folders - but offers no way to move dials to new folders/groups. Added dials are automatically saved to the main dial, you can't drag them to a new group (basically, if you want groups/folders, you're going to have to manually type all the URL).

2- New dials are added to the top of the main dial - this means you have to scroll down further and further through hordes of sites to get to your favourites/most-used - or manually re-arrange the dials every time you add new ones.

Thanks for the feedback! Both suggestions have been implemented in version 1.14:

1 - Dials can now be drag and dropped between folders. You can also add new dials directly to a folder simply by bookmarking the site and choosing the subfolder

2 - The default sorting algorithm is now the one you suggested -- new dials appear last. The old sorting can be enabled in the settings (sometimes new dials first is preferable, for example when using YASD as a bookmarks manager it's better having recent dials at the top)

    Does what I want. Doing great so far. It's button pops up on the search bar sometimes, recommend shortening and using initials.

    I've been using this addon for a long time and it's the best speed dial for me (and I've tried lots of them). Thanks conceptualspace for the new version!

    Clean and fast speed dial. It only lacks a spacing option between the dials. Another annoyance is that sometimes it loses the saved image of a dial. I hope that the developer will fix this annoyance and also add the spacing option i mentioned before.

    (Editing because the performance has degraded significantly since installing. Lag and missing icons along with the fact it's not updating leads me today to uninstalling and putting something better into my workflow. Which I suspect at this point is -sadly- going back to stock trim and forgetting dials.)

    Excellent! it does easily everything I need.

    -different backgrounds for different folders would be nice, no issues with backgrounds disappearing, and I wrote automation for loading and searching, I reloaded and quit a ridiculous number of times.

    -the name "yet another speed dial" was the only thing that turned me off trying this extension at first, the name is so lame lol and it doesn't fit in the site information when the page is up.

    -background image scaling (surprised it's not in here?)

    5 stars tho! works and performs flawlessly

    v3.14 for firefox is finally out of beta, give it a try! it has much improved performance and image capture

    Very good addon. It uses a special folder to read the bookmarks. It's very useful because the folder is synchronized as usual, and you can edit this folder in order to add or remove shortcuts in the speed dial.

    This is potentially a great speed dial extension—it allows you to build a custom homepage with a clean design. However, there’s a critical and annoying bug specific to Firefox: the custom background image resets to default unpredictably and frequently. Notably, this doesn’t happen in Chrome. Background images vanish spontaneously after several hours of normal usage. You can reproduce this bug by reloading the speed dial page repeatedly for a minute or two and then relaunching the browser. Latest macOS, latest Firefox, latest version of the extension.

    I using traditional chinese system, and it automatically switch to simply chinese and without any language setting option, what a disappointment
