troch Firefox-brûker 13977066, 8 jierren lynIn the advent of forced updates being shoved down our throats due to some addons becoming unavailable and websites supporting legacy browsers more and more, this is a very similar alternative to the old, now outdated Rikaichan.
It gets the job done well enough and uses the same key bindings for the ones it has in common.
However, it lacks in quality of life compared to its predecessor.
There doesn't appear to be a way to change the font size with the text appearing a bit more bloated (and spaced) than I'd like, it removed the ability to put the frames in set corners on the screen using the "a" hotkey (I never used this personally, but was aware of it), and it doesn't allow you to change the order you "shift" through (always being word definition, kanji breakdown, names dictionary) like you could on Rikaichan.
The worst part would be that when switching to the names dictionary for Japanese, when there's so many options to fit on screen it will just make one super long column stretching off the screen instead of splitting it into two columns, effectively making half the options unreadable without zooming the page out by a good chunk.
In the end the important part is that if it works, though, which it does.

- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Swololo, 5 moannen lynGreat extension. Could you please add a way to copy hiragana/katakana that shows the romaji as well? It would be really helpful for people who are starting with japanese. Quite often I have to copy the expression into google translate to see the romaji.

I'm afraid I couldn't quite follow your suggestions, however. If you enable romaji display in the settings and look at a work like テスト you should see "tesuto" in the popup and also when you copy the entry.
(Note that the extension will not work on addons.mozilla.org because Firefox blocks extensions from working there.)
Could you please email me at info@birchill.co.jp to let me know what is missing. Thank you! - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch sdia, 5 moannen lyn

- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch emmanuelcohen, ien jier lynThis dictionary is doing all that I could dream of. Instant recognition via mouseover, the dictionary is complete, erudite but also very simple to access if you just want a straightforward translation.
Once you look up the word, you can find the kanji decomposition. It's detailed and easy at the same time. Please try.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
