"Hide end screen feed" feature doesn't work quite well - it only hides part of the feed.
Checked both on Firefox and Chrome, and even disabled all Chrome extensions but Unhook, restarted Chrome, nothing changed. It needs an update, I guess.

Really great, but as of late the "hide explore, trending" options hides the "You" menu instead, which includes history, playlists and all kind of stuff I actually want to be available. Please fix it.

It was a great extension, but it currently no longer hides recommendations from the end screen.

It works well overall, and greatly de-clutters YouTube.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to successfully remove the end screen recommendations anymore.

When I first installed this 2023 it worked great; I could block all the algorithmic parts of YouTube.
But it hasn't been updated since April 2024, and parts of it are starting to break, most notably the end-screen recommendations have started appearing again.
Using uBlock Origin, you can create filters to do pretty much everything that Unhook can do, so I will not be using this extension any more. If you don't want do bother with uBO filters, then Unhook may still be useful to you.

It works well, when it works. For the most part it does, but after 2 years it is badly in need of an update. Additionally, the Android version doesn't have any way for you to open the settings to tweak what you want to see. The settings menu only appears during first-time setup, then never again.
It's potentially abandonware at this point, but I'll still use it for what benefit it does still provide.

i would like to use to remove youtube shorts completely, but this extension only removes youtube shorts from the sidebar, but does not prevent shorts from appearing in the search engine.If the developer improves this option, I will give 5 stars.

Oct 14 2025, Recommended video popups at the end are no longer hidden. YT has implemented a new video player, and it's super annoying. Hopeful that you guys can make another update to remove this. If so, I will gladly donate :))

Some of the features don't work on mobile. It by default blocks playlists and shows comments, and changing these settings changes nothing. It works great on desktop. PLEASE FIX

has worked well for a long time but must have a memory leak or something, if I leave my youtube tab open for a day or so it gets extremely laggy and I have to close and reopen it. disabling the extension has stopped that from happening.

Should be open source for privacy reasons. Some settings break YouTube on mobile.

Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that I now see videos of shorts in searches. Nevertheless. It's a great app.

Pretty good app, however it breaks Youtube Embeds across other websites. I hope this can be fixed! I sent a mail to the support mail bellow. (removerecs@gmail.com)

I just have two gripes with it.

Firstly, the option to hide profile pictures in the comments isn't working.

Secondly, when I disable the sidebar, but enable playlists, the video player isn't centered anymore, even when no playlist is active.

Edit: This extension unfortunately doesn't seem to be maintained anymore.

Good extension but it currently breaks embedded videos, making them unwatchable without going into the website itself.

It also removes the main page with all video updates, which is not ideal. Unless that's a bug?

Please fix hide comment profile photo, it's still visible

It's great, but hiding shorts isn't working, I can still on homepage.
