So it would seem I'm the second user to install this add-on and the first user to review it. How exciting!

The current behavior when you click the icon is to check whether the page is archived, and if so it sends you to the most recent snapshot. If not, a snapshot is automatically taken of the page. This is pretty foolproof as archive.today already asks if you want to take a new snapshot if a snapshot exists and is older than 5 minutes, so there's no need to include a separate snapshot button.

The one thing I would change is to include an option in the settings to disable automatic submission for snapshots on click, as I can imagine a webdev or some similar case where a page that shouldn't have been uploaded ends up archived accidentally via misclick or whatever.

Thank you. I'm trying to keep this simple and foolproof for regular users, so I'm reluctant to do anything that might make it more complicated, and I don't think there's much extra load from mistakes, but if you give me more details of what you have in mind, I'll give it serious consideration. Thanks again.

    Extension works, does what it is supposed to do. Some web sites with very, very hard paywalls are the exception but they are few in number.
    The author, Mr.Navas, is diligent with respect to issues posted on GitHub.

    Ich verstehe Ihren Frust, aber nginx.com hat nichts mit dieser Erweiterung zu tun, die nicht mit der Website Archive Today verbunden ist. Was Sie erleben, ist eine Überlastung des Website-Pfads; von hier aus funktioniert es. Sie können das Problem möglicherweise umgehen, indem Sie in den Optionen der Erweiterung einen Domain-Alias auswählen, ein VPN nutzen oder einen anderen Internetdienst verwenden. Aber bitte bestrafen Sie diese Erweiterung nicht für Dinge, die sie nicht kontrollieren kann! Service-Probleme sollten bei Archive Today oder auf der GitHub-Seite der Erweiterung gemeldet werden, nicht hier. Vielen Dank.

    1. Please do not post issues here. Open an Issue or Discussion on GitHub, or contact Support.
    2. There is nothing currently wrong with the extension or the website. The likely problem is filtering by your Internet provider. Try the domain aliases in extension Options. Otherwise, see the FAQ for recommended solutions, including VPN.

    Lately sites are taking countermeasures. Like news sites which require subscription. AP used to work very well on those sites.

    Excellent add-on and incredibly useful!!

    I only wish it allowed having a configurable list of domains to always open through the archive so I don't have to go through the extra click on websites that I already know I will need to visit using it.

    Right-click on links, and you can invoke the extension without having to visit the site.
