Root folders cannot be created or renamed by design because Bookmark Manager Zero does not OWN your bookmarks/folders, your browser does. It interfaces with them within your firefox browser (and/or chrome if you use it there). Renaming or creating root level folders is only something you can do in bookmark managers that OWN your bookmarks in their own ecosystem which generally requires you to switch over to that ecosystem and that contradicts the intention of Bookmark Manager Zero.

A unique bookmark manager that stands out from the rest of its competitors with the cool feature of scanning your bookmarks through links and safety checkup. As much as I liked this extension, there are a few glaring issues I had with it that kept the bookmark manager from getting a perfect score. This would be 1) I can't renamed any default folders whatsoever (that rename option is not working), and 2) Unable to freely create a new folder in "Root" outside stuff like Bookmark Menu, Toolbar, Other, Mobile kinds, etc despite it being regarded as an option to choose from.

This bookmark manager is beautifully designed, with great attention to detail, user-friendliness and functionality. I also like that the background is customizable - it adds a nice personal touch.
