Works!

It works, I don't know why it doesn't for others

Currently, it works as advertised, i.e., it stops YouTube videos from autoplaying. Moreover, it does this better than all the other 4 add-ons I've used previously.

But sadly, it doesn’t seem to work… It only makes backgroud tab bug.

It works just fine (latest browser, no problems with other extensions). The Only problem i see is that you sometimes have to click 2x to have it load and play. Another problem: In comparison to another browser, it loads the video about 4-5 Seconds, whereas the other Browser feels like it starts after 1-2 Seconds. But overall: it works so Videos don't start on their own. I don't know why YT did that BS and removed it, but that extension is definitely putting it back, despite a little bit of clunkiness.

The ONLY one that works for FF! Even after 5.5 years. You have have restart FF before it works about half the time.

Now, why can't anyone else come up with another version that works ALL the time like they have on Chrome?

FINALLY! AN ADON THAT DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO! THE USERS WILL TAKE THEIR WEB EXPERIENCE BACK FROM THESE WACK JOBS!

None of the Youtube extensions have this functionality anymore, but the good news is this works perfectly alongside Enhancer and other extensions [atm].

Works perfectly with a few other tweaks!

When I first installed this add-on, it worked perfectly. I recently uninstalled it when YouTube updated it's platform.

This is how I got it to work again and how I stopped YouTube videos from preloading, AT ALL.

1. Get this other add-on YouTube Design Preserver 2.2.0 https://github.com/GuyXY/YouTube-Design-Preserver. Set it to 'Old Layout'

2. In your web browser, go to About:Config. Scroll down to and double click media.autoplay.enabled. This will change the value from 'True' to 'False'. No media on any site is allowed to start playing automatically.
