For about two weeks embedded 'Youtube' videos will not play on any websites. Filed a detailed report on Ghostery Support Page and have not had any response (That was a huge waste of time!). Worked great for years. Give it another day or two before I completely remove it. UPDATE: Support couldn't replicate. Asked for screenshot and other routine nonsense (I thought they were going to ask me to unplug Youtube and plug it back in! ) Never asked if I was signed into Youtube. That was the problem. CAN'T BE SIGNED INTO YOUTUBE. The only way around it is to turn-off AD TRACKING "globally" (every website) The specific Youtube site "exceptions" don't work as they should. I wonder how many people have this problem and just simply give up without contacting support and remove GHOSTERY. Might be many. One percent would be 10,000. Nah..I'm sure it's just me.

We only had one support request regarding embedded Youtube videos, which we replied to asking for examples of websites where this happens. We can only find solutions if we can reproduce the situation.

    Been using it on mobile and on my computers alike, works like a charm, does what it said, not in the way. If adblocker means something, Ghostery might be the closest to the definition

    If your entire reason for existing is to allow people to avoid annoying pop up ads on the internet, DON'T force an annoying pop up ad on them demanding a review... And DON'T make that ad impossible to delete without exiting the browser... And DON'T then act as if you didn't do any of this when you quite rightly get roasted in the reviews.

    Ghostery is like the second version of uBlock Origin, it does the same as uBlock Origin, I love this extension too!

    Doesn't block ChatGPT ads. This was my only reason to install it, but it seems, as of September 2026, there's no Firefox add-on able to block ChatGPT ads.

    Doesnt work at all on Firefox 155 - does absolutely nothing. Sites like buzzoola.com and acint.net are just spamming my browser with fingerprinting 😡
