damn good job, too bad mozilla overwrote and is hogging so many industry standards, like ctrl+k and ctrl+j, have beeen duplicate tab and open downloads, for over a decade!! WTF?!?! F mozilla

Yes it has limitations but amazingly useful for things like search selected text shortcut

I used to use the backspace key to actually go back to the previous page, like all the time and this extension is letting me do that again, and it's made me so happy. Yes, I'm using it for literally only one thing. but that one thing makes me over the moon.

Working great for me on my desktop and my laptop since several years. Only problem I have recently noticed is that it works too well on Reddit. When I try to type in a comment or post something the shortcuts are still active. With every "o" I type I go back to the previous page ;) Is there a possibility to setup exceptions for specific websites?

Works perfectly for me, the "Run Javascript" option is just what I needed.

I didn't need to remap an existing browser hotkey for my own use yet, but remapping at least some of those works after restarting the browser.

Amazing!!! I have a common TV keyboard with a simple touchpad on the right, nice to browse the web, youtube, with a mini PC connected to the big screen. One thing that I was missing was a Go Back and a Go Forward, easy one key action...
So this amazing addon, just now let do "backspace backspace" to go back in history, and "del del" to go forward! Simply pressing twice these keys, now my browsing is perfectly lazy! XD Great Work guys!!! EDIT: AND... It does not interfere if you are typing text! It just works!

Good to know: while in most programs you can set custom shortcut by just pressing the right keys and the software will "record" your key combination, here you have to litteraly TYPE the shortcut you want (e.g., type "ctrl+shift+k").
Don't forget to press "Save" at the end and voila! ... It works.

YOU ALSO CAN OVERRIDE DEFAULT FIREFOX SHORTCUTS. So I don't understand all the negative reviews stating you can't.

Just keep in mind what the developer says:
* restart Firefox for your new shortcut to work
* shortcuts only work once the page has completely loaded.
* shortcuts don't work on 'internal' Firefox pages, like the page your reading right know.

I hate this extension.

More correctly, I hate that this extension is necessary in the first place. Firefox should bloody well let me configure my own shortcuts and whatnot.

Shortkeys itself is superb, it does what it's supposed to do, five stars and all that, THANK YOU for writing it!
