- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch PhilZSquid, 2 moannen lynOne of the most confusing interfaces, and most unpredictable interactions of any add-on I've used to date.
I created 4 tab groups -- social media & news; payments & banking; messaging; shopping cart. I populated each with several url's that I go to frequently. I created each group in a separate window and then selected the set of tabs and created the group. So far so good.
The next day I come back, I'm on tab in my shopping cart group which I had open and then select the group social media, which I had closed the evening before. It opens in the shopping cart group. Worse, it empties out my social media group, which is now for some reason associated with the shopping cart. So I have to recreate the group on new window and remove them from the shopping cart. Why? I have no idea.
Worse, if I try to move the tabs from my shopping cart by putting them in my original social media group, it tells me the shopping cart group is closed. Why? I have no idea.
This add-on seems so simple, yet, none of the features makes sense in its implementation. This could be a great add-on if it had any consistency. I'm still using it, but every day I have to reset one or more of my tab groups, scratching my head each time.
Consistency. This is not... - Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Ugarov, 5 moannen lyn
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 10019882, 6 moannen lynBasic functions work: in management mode, drag & drop one tab list item to another group; switch to group. The biggest problem is memory usage after long time usage of Firefox v 143 on a Mac Tahoe (not sure of other OS). The memory usage jumped from around 1GB to 7GB after upgrading MacOS to Tahoe version. In the background, must be keeping other OLD tabs in groups already closed but still open (not sure contents of pages already loaded). When I disabled this extension, suddenly more than 20 tabs popped out when total opened tab in all groups were about 7. Plus, Firefox now has implemented tab grouping feature same as Chrome: to collapse tabs into 1 group tab.

- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Frank, 10 moannen lynIf it is working, it is perfect extension. Unfortunately, it does not load in the sidebar. I have to open another sidebar and then open simpletabgroup again and it will load.
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch catto24, ien jier lynWorks as it says, but it keeps downloading files automatically into folders similarly named "STG-backups-FF-137.0.1".
Why does it do this? How do I make it stop? - Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch snorful, ien jier lynAdd-on suddenly stopped working, which was quite a disappointment.

- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Xii-Nyth, ien jier lynlately its stopped working and it crashes upon restoring tabs

- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 6210085, ien jier lynI tried to perform a backup on one computer and then restore to another. Tabs were moved all around. Eg. All of my amazon tabs were placed in the Amazon group. Even the Amazon tabs that were in my Main group were moved.
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch bee, ien jier lynGood job, but there are some bugs. Entering Simple Tab Groups Settings removes some tabs, which is a big issue. The dev keeps updating it, so hopefully it gets fixed someday. Thanks!
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch andrij, 2 jierren lynNo icon on toolbar and it is not cleat how to find it :(
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch jacob, 2 jierren lynI was confused at first, didn't really understand how it worked.
The tabs are basically grouped by window, which is ok i guess but not what i was expecting.
You make a group, and if that group is active then any tab you open in firefox will be added to that group. any tab you close will be removed from the group.
If you activate a different group, your current tabs will be closed (and saved) and the new group tabs will be opened. In other words, you can't have two groups open at once.
It was unintuitive to figure out, but easy to use after figuring it out. However the functionality is not exactly what i want, the tab grouping in chrome is way better than this. - Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch KayeTheArtiste, 2 jierren lyn

- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13607278, 3 jierren lynWell, it accomplishes some things. But like someone else said, when you create a new group, it adds all the open tabs in the window to the new group. You can't remove a tab from a group without closing it. Untill FF comes up with something better, I guess I can use this. But what a pita.
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Godzilla, 3 jierren lynThe Simple Tab Group icon was not visible after installation. I needed to right click Extensions icon, choose Simple Tab Groups settings wheel icon, then pin to toolbar.
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch a.v., 3 jierren lynSorry, looks like it would help organization but learning curve is too steep. Gave it 30 minutes, then removed.
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch jddj, 3 jierren lynYeah, update: I'm out - uninstalling. I cannot stand having to delete the STG folder from my desktop every day I turn my computer on. The bit of good I get from this extension is not worth the hassle.
-----
Pretty good, but ONE MADDENING THING! it covers my desktop with STG-backups-FF folders. Wish I could select someplace these should go. I hate having to toss them daily.
It's also easy to forget STG is there - that's not necessarily a bad thing: it's not intrusive other than the backups. But it's hard to get the value if you forget you have the groups, or go on using your default tab group like it's the only set of tabs available. - Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch KKahiru, 3 jierren lyn
