At first thought was great however unfortunately, this add-on doesn't reliably identify previously visited pages when the URL contains additional tracking parameters.

For example, I visited a Guardian article in September using its standard URL, then revisited exactly the same article in October via an email link containing a `?CMP=filmtoday_email` parameter.

The add-on recorded these as two entirely separate entries, each with a visit count of 1, rather than recognising them as visits to the same article.

As I primarily installed this extension to identify articles I've already read, this limitation rather defeats its purpose. It's particularly problematic when accessing websites through newsletters or other links containing tracking parameters.

A URL normalisation feature that ignores common tracking parameters would make this considerably more useful.
