Social Fixer has significantly improved my Facebook experience, allowing me to remove or hide many of Facebook's annoyances, from sections in the margins (or the margins themselves) to functions such as notification bubbles and inaccurate timestamps.

I've found the subscribed and user-created filters indispensable in removing or segregating News Feed posts, and the ability to create or add stock code snippets has fixed many issues I had with Facebook from its appearance to its functionality.

Version 22 has brought improved functionality of the Friend Tracker and now allows adjustment of the threshold at which FB Friend deactivation and reactivation events are reported.

Importantly, answers to user questions are quickly addressed by the developer (Matt Kruse) and his team via developer pages and very active subscriber groups. There is also a page for developer and subscriber provided display and functionality tweaks.

Social Fixer has made my Facebook experience tolerable and even enjoyable.

    Recommended posts are by far the greatest annoyance at FB and hiding these only works when FB is set to English language.

    Facebook updates very frequently. An extension that has not been maintained since 2023 has little value.

    New to social fixer. I haven't experienced most of its features. The main reason I tried it is to not longer have to select new or all comments in group posts. At first I thought it was not working. Then I realized I had to select the comment explorer each time. So what's the point if I have to do that on each posts. I wished it would expend the comments as soon as I click on the post.

    YOU CAN FILTER OUT POSTS THAT INCLUDE WORDS LIKE "TRUMP", "DEMOCRAT", "LIBERAL", "REPUBLICAN"! You can follow your family members again! :p

    Funktioniert hervorragend. Wenn Facebook mal wieder etwas ändert, um Werbung einzublenden, dauert es meist nur wenige Tage, bis SF auch damit umgehen kann :-)

    Maybe I just don't get it, but this doesn't seem to be able to modify ANY of the things I want to fix on facebook:
    Show ALL comments, every time.
    Always show most recent activity in groups.
    Hide certain groups from the news feed.
    Another thing which would bring me such joy, would be to always open a post in a new tab, not these annoying pop-up dialogue boxes.

    I only use FB for ONE purpose (a hobby) and otherwise I hate FB. However, this SUPERB extension fixes 99% of the problems. It is a MUST HAVE if you use FB and don't need a deluge of corporate bovine excreta to flood your screen. Arguably, one of the best FF extensions out there! Bravo and thank you.

    Does everything I was looking for, but scrolling gets a little jumpy when posts are hidden.
