WordReference has added a human verification challenge to their website, which was causing the error.
I have already released a new extension version (3.0.1) to address the issue.

Please contact me before leaving a 1-star review to understand whether the problem is caused by the extension or by an external factor.

Copied from another extension.
Even if they'd let you try the premium features they are not worth the so called "donation" then branded as price.
Worthless.
There's another extension almost identical which does the same but it's free, just get that:

To be honest, the premium features were well worth the small price.
Even the free version of this extension did much more, and better, than the extension you linked.

By the way, the extension is now open source, and all the features are free :)
