ETA: Thank you for fixing the Options page, have now revised my rating back to its original one.

Sorry, originally gave 5 stars for the search page fix but came back to edit having now seen that the add-on also causes unwanted visual changes all over YouTube - can't they be turned off? The Options screen leads to 'page not found'. Going to have to uninstall, hope the ability to turn off unwanted non-searchpage changes will be fixed.

The options page was a residue of local testing. But it is now been fixed and functional. You can now turn off the visual changes, please update to the latest version and consider revising the rating. Thanks! :D

    It's ok at the very best, actively worse in cases.
    I wanted to look up the video 'I will be' from the creator ozumiiwizard...

    I searched for 'ozu I will be', and it showed me some stupid mix first and didn't give me the video by itself.

    Ok, maybe YT is dumb, so I'll disable it from showing playlists in search.

    It now no longer shows me ANYTHING related to the song.

    I tried it in a private window, just to see if it's the extension or not... IT IS THE EXTENSION that actively filtered out the video I was searching for.

    It's possible that it did it several times in the past while I was searching for a video I remembered and wanted to rewatch, but I can't know in all honesty.

    If you install this, search for videos to try it out if it actually makes search better for you or not.

    This works so incredibly!! I can finally use YouTube again. I literally can't believe how broken the search function was before this, it was so cluttered and gross, I'm so glad this makes it functional again, thank you so much!!

    Got so used to Youtube behaving reasonably that when I tried a new browser without the extension I thought it had broken. Went back to add it as soon as I could!

    Absolute poo. Its supposed to hide Shorts when searching. THE ONLY THING THAT SHOWS UP IN SEARCH ARE SHORTS, not one single regular video. And don't tell me it's a conflicting plugin, I went so far as to delete every other one I had, and reset the system, to try and troubleshoot the issue.

    Using the same production version as everyone on my system and it works fine for me. Maybe try changing the setting toggles.

    I love everything about this, except that I can not make it work. It does nothing, and under the stats menu it has also not blocked anything yet. I run a few other plugins, i.e. uBlock Origin and Privacybadger. YouTube is run inside FF Multiaccount Container, but when in window and hovering plugin it says it has access to the site/YouTube.

    I would like to change my review if I get it to work, but until that I can not really give a better score.

    All the best to the developer though, great features and it looks like it works for most people.

    Was great until the recent update. The new feature that dims search results made me look for a video for an hour that was in the list but I was skipping over because I didn't recognise the grey thumbnail. Maybe I can blame my ADHD on that one. Couldn't find an option to turn it off, either.

    Really sorry about that. It is an experimental feature called "Power Search" in the settings page. Like every feature, it is optional and an oversight from my end left it enabled by default for new users.

    I have released an emergency fix version 9.0.5 and it is live now. Please update to the latest version and accept my apologies for the confusion. I'm just a solo dev and despite the most rigorous testing from my end, sometimes things slip through 🙏

    it does what it advertiszes but it zooms the yutube hompage out even with all settings turned off so intell thats fixed ill have the exstinsion uninstilled

    Works pretty well, I just wish it supported Firefox Android and the mobile version of Youtube (m.youtube.com)
