Black🏴☠️Sails によるレビュー (5年前)Certainly my fav add-on for YouTube.
Unfortunately 2-3 weeks now, this add-on has begun to bug and cause incredible amounts of lag on Firefox, and I always end up typing "about:performance" in URL bar only to once again see this add-on going sky high on 'energy impact'.
And it wont stop unless I disable this add-on... And if I enable it, a few minutes or hours later, the same thing will happen again.
So yeah, this is definitely a must-fix.
edit: Is it possible that this add-on is not compatible with some other add-on or script? Maybe, cuz I have 36 enabled add-ons and 41 or so scripts installed in Violentmonkey.
But still, I honestly doubt it has anything todo with the add-ons, bcs basically nothing has changed in the past 2 months. (small changes)
The only thing that's changed is that I added all these java scripts. But I still highly doubt it has todo with that, simply because this bug begins to happen out of the blue on it's own, while I'm NOT on youtube. (but I do* have youtube videos open in new tabs, so I'm not sure)
So far, it has happened while I was browsing sites other than YouTube.
lmk if you need more info. Maybe you changed something recently? Maybe it was bcs of Firefox update? Really hard to say.

- The addon is OK overall.
But recent update required a new "Block content on any page" permission. I can't understand, why it's needed?

- Unfortunately, the viewing date for many videos is set to the date of installation of the extension. Secondly, if you enter a word in the YouTube history search, the viewing dates of all the videos that appear in the search will be updated to the current date, even if they were viewed 10 years ago.

投稿日時: 9ヶ月前Never hesitate to file an issue/bug on Github so we can look into this further [1]. Personally still working as expected for me but sometimes Youtube rolls out different versions to different users which makes it difficult to debug sometimes.

投稿日時: 1年前I just released version 4.7.1 with some small fixes, did this update start marking videos again on the main page by chance? If not, could you open an issue here [1] with some more details such that I can take a closer look? Thanks in advance!

One thing that is not true is that it only works with the new YouTube user interface. Since YouTube changed the user interface, I've been using the YouTube Redux extension to get the old user interface back. I just don't like the fact that the comments are now on the right and there are suggestions for other videos below the video. The Watchmaker extension works perfectly with the YouTube Redux extension and everything runs smoothly, and I haven't noticed any problems. The YouTube Redux extension forces the previous user interface.

An in-browser "mark un-played" button would be helpful, as it is removing play marks from a text-only list is more work than it's worth for me.
Edit to add: Actually an option to have the extension mark a video as played only when the progress bar hits a certain threshold (100%, 95%, etc) would be ideal開発者の返信
投稿日時: 1年前Thank you for the feedback! You are not alone with this, you can find similar suggestions in the Github project [1, 2] but I am afraid that I don't know if/when I will be able to implement those, sorry!
