Recently I tested every audio addon, that was updated during the last 12 months. GainDial by Fenix is by far the best one for long unstable live streams. It demands less severe permissions than most competitors: only all_urls. There is an unique ‚compatibility‘ switch: It may help... or get things worse. Clear weaknesses are cross origins and sites with multible audio elements. GainDail works with the first one, but mutes any other – until you re-open the tab.

Thx for the feedback! I observe the muting discribed above on sportschau.de (with volumes other than 100%). To test this website, you may have to be geolocated in Germany. Strangely, GainDial can play videos one after another, but it can't do that with audios. Hope that helps!
