HyperChat is a must-have extension. YouTube's regular live chat box can slow down your browser, especially on non-Chromium-based browsers. HyperChat replaces the chat box with its own, more performant version. Not exactly what I had in mind, but it works nonetheless. I hope in the future you'll add a filter to filter "Japanese Only" text and vice versa. I'll bear with only using the "Member Only" filter for now.

I won't knock a star off this really good add-on, but it's admittedly not what I was looking for.

I was hoping that this add-on would come equipped with some way to write filters for chat, as I simply want to disable EN comments on JP streams (the two fanbases behave very differently). If they added this, I would be so pleased. Otherwise the only other thing I could ask for is more subtle branding on chat because it sticks out like a sore thumb. Still, these are not significant downsides at all.
