I've been looking for a replacement for the default RSS previewer since it was removed from Firefox. Most extensions require opening a sidebar or contain features I will never use.

The author states that "This extension attempts to recreate.." the original previewer. I'm happy to report that this extension is nearly indistinguishable from the original.

I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could.

If you are looking to replicate the default reader's preview functionality, this is the add-on you need.

    Works as intended on Firefox for Android! Helpful to see what feeds you can subscribe to on a given website and to preview them.

    Some improvements I'd like to see:
    - In the detected feeds list, show the URL for each feed, and maybe some more information (eg, last update, number of entries, etc)
    - Notify if feeds are found on the current website (not sure if it's possible on Firefox Android)
    - If you use the extension to open a given feed, then use the browser back button to return to the webpage it was found from, the extension doesn't detect feeds until the webpage is manually refreshed

    This extension has unfortunately so far failed to detect the RSS feeds of every RSS that I am already currently subscribed to.

    BTW, please add "atom:icon" to rss.xml file (into "feedTitleImage" img tag), because some services use "atom:icon" instead of "atom:logo".

    This extension quickly finds the rss feed if it exists. Note that if a .css file downoads instead of a page being displayed, then it's a bad feed URL where FreshRSS is concerned.

    It's OK to just view feeds in a tab.No problem with Google News. But this is not livebookmarks.You can't check feed headlines on the bookmark toolbar with this.
