Kinda works. It cannot save directly to the download folder (it forces a subfolder) and if I want to save to a Linux hidden folder, it removes the leading dot. If I choose to save via dialog it adds an 'aac' extension to the mp3 file ('audio.mp3' becomes 'audio.aac' and if you instruct it via the dialog to save it as 'audio.mp3' it will save it as 'audio.mp3.aac').
So, if I want to save it directly to the downloads folder, with no subfolder, and be done with it, tough luck. I'd need to either move it from the subfolder, or remove the 'aac' extension.
Apps trying to be smart and changing what I'm doing piss me off. Also, I fail to see any sense in it pushing to save it in subfolder when not using the dialog.

It doesn't work anymore, you click download and it says in red 'ERROR'

The higher quality versions downloaded as a Go+ user have corrupted file headers. While you may still be able to play the file, depending on the music player you likely won't be able to seek to a time. (And these files can become unplayable over time so good luck)

Almost didn't download this because the most recent review said it didn't work, but working just fine for me! :)

Is this dead? It's stopped working. It was so good.

Ran perfectly up to august 2025. I'm not wanting high quality or protected resources, just offline loved musics (often small artists) without downloading Soundcloud application on my phone.

wonderfull downloader, although i wish there was an option to scale down the album art quality or choose not to downlaod it entirely as 15MB 4k X 4K album art of each mp3 is a tad un-necessary it makes downlaods take ages on slow internet, other than that however the capability to download metadata is exeptionally usefull.

Metadata coming with the downloads is so so convenient. Won't download music with anything else again!

Was working great until recently. The m4a files downloaded as a soundcloud Go+ user cannot be opened by any media player (music, vlc,quicktime etc). Even the non soundcloud Go+ downloads are not able to be opened. Hopefully there will be a fix for this!

So I love this extension and I am eternally grateful for you making it, but since the 4Jul update there's been a strange formatting issue. Some tracks are coming out as M4A; I'm not a premium user and I've even turned off the premium download setting, and it's still downloading like this. Normally a M4a isn't an issue but something is up with the files -- programs just aren't recognizing them. I've tried VLC, Foobar, Samsung music, iTunes, etc. I can't even get them to convert to mp3. Sincerely not sure what's happening and am still troubleshooting what the problem is on my end in case it's just me; just thought I'd bring it to your attention if it's something you had insight on. Thanks again for the wonderful extension.

It works somtimes Pls Fix it sometimes when it buggy i hate when it happens just letting you know thanks an error when i hit the button it get me a red error meassge need to fix it alot of times it works i get an error some reason i get also thanks for download button it helps me for dj stuff...

4.5, works good, soundcloud update bricked dl button though. only works when ur actually on the song page

i think there's an issue with m4a's, i'm not sure if it's your end or sc's, but in some music players (like musicbee) m4a's have occasional but minor peaking/clipping

would be 6 stars ez if you added dl buttons for entire profiles/reposts/tracklists/likes etc. that's prob asking for a lot tho lmao
