Unfortunately, the system works with credits because image translation happens to be very expensive to run the entire pipeline which processes everything. Translation itself uses expensive models, so I can't offer infinite translations. However you can email me and I'll give you a nice discount :)

- I used to work as a manga translator for years, and this extension genuinely blew my mind. I've never seen anything like it before. The translation quality is surprisingly good. It even uses the MTO font, and the translations read naturally instead of feeling machine-generated.
The downside probably is the credit. You only get a limited number of credits, so you may eventually have to pay. However, I think it's well worth it. At $6 for 2,500 credits, you can translate up to 2,500 pages (i guess). That's a pretty good deal, in my opinion.開発者の返信

A task that used to take 2-3 hours can now be done in 30 minutes at most. It's really great, I highly recommend it!

I just wish there was apple safari browser support since Orion browser is kind of meh with lots of tabs. I would also like to have even more model family version choice, though the models that are present are solid.
Wild random idea: I wouldn't mind donating some credits for free users to use. Who knows- maybe some rich whale would pop up and be generous. :P開発者の返信
投稿日時: 4ヶ月前Wow, thanks so much for the nice review! Hearing that you switched from Ichigo to Torii made my day, haha. I also with I could get Safari to work with Torii but apple's ecosystem is just so difficult to deal with. Is Firefox or Chrome not working on a Mac? Or do you mean for iOS where only Orion works? Ichigo doesn't handle apple devices either right?
As for the credits idea - I'm actually thinking of implementing a credits sharing feature where users can just point to an email address and share credits with another user easily.

Costs money but it's worth it in my opinion, the other 1 star reviewers just need to get a job. Now I can finally read raws and not have to wait for scanlators ^^

- I was looking for something exactly like this thinking it wouldn't exist. It's unfortunate that there are so many unfair reviews. This extension does exactly what it says it does. Yes, it's paid but I think the free trial is fair at 30 credits. You can get 2500 credits for 5.99 which also seems like an incredibly fair price. I'm loving it so far! Can't wait to go back and read things I've only been able to look at.

I've built something nice and valuable to lots of people, just as you have found value in it. Anyone who is complaining that it's not free just has no idea how the world works. - Franchement, l'extension est mature et fonctionne super bien, vous pouvais la tester pour lire 30 page mais elle n'est pas gratuit un chapitre pour cela que les gens rage et mets un 1, mais clairement pour 4 euros environ tu a 2500 page de chapitre a lire, incroyable.
Honestly, the extension is mature and works perfectly. You can even test it for 30 pages, but people are leaving 1-star reviews just because the full chapters aren't free. Seriously though, 5$ for 2,500 pages is a steal.

There is a little patch with a tiny violet dollar sight saying "Some features may require payment". This is so small 99% of the population will miss it. There is no hint in the description or anywhere else before you install the add-on and create an account that tells you to spent money. And also its some features, its ALL of them.
I immediately uninstalled this garbage. The next day the add-on was back again, not listed under add-ons and not uninstallable but still there. WTF. Keep off. Just look at the many 1 star reviews. I bet the troll that created this will tell me off.開発者の返信

I will again explain to you why your review is wrong and stupid.
The badge "Some features may require payment" is placed by Firefox Add-Ons, not by me - I have no control over it, so why are you whining about it? If I could have made it say "Paid app" I would have - this is such a stupid point you're making. Also, the description does say at the end that Torii is a "paid app with a small free trial", so you're wrong about that.
If you uninstalled the add-on then there is no way it can come back, stop lying.
Torii can't be free because it costs me lots of money to translate your images. Text detection and translation cost money, which you have to pay for. Otherwise it's not sustainable. This is another very stupid reason to give my app 1-star.
Torii provides good value to lots of users. I translate tens of thousands of images per day and I am proud of what I created. Are you proud of your silly reviews?
Please stop being salty and remove both of your reviews.
