I’ve used this tool for years on chromium browsers, and am now excited to continue its use on our privacy-centric Firefox. I’m a Psych MA who needs to understand increasingly more concepts and schools of thought for his coursework. I find the colour-coding feature of Web Highlights and its ability to review any of my highlighted text very useful. I’m able to quote authors and cite sources more easily, whether for academic stuff or just in the conversations of everyday life. I broadly recommend this app if you need to digest and remember information while browsing the internet. As you can highlight, paraphrase and review key selections of a web page whenever you like, you have an efficient tool to interact with the internet. With how vast the online space is, Web Highlights ensures I engage with and remember what’s important to me. :-)

- 5 段階中 4 の評価the meteorite によるレビュー (4ヶ月前)this is so helpful as a person who frequently does research and reads articles and fiction online!! i often want to leave my own notes and favorite parts of an article so i can come back and visit later, and the number of color options here are amazing. smooth experience, although some websites do tend to slow down a little if the extension is running. overall, though, my favorite web highlighter i have tried so far.

投稿日時: 10ヶ月前Hi Franz, you’re right – I was using the Mellowtel library in Web Highlights to support the environment by planting trees (more on that here: https://web-highlights.com/blog/planting-trees-worldwide-with-our-browser-extension/).
That said, after some thought, I decided to remove the Mellowtel library as it doesn’t fully align with Web Highlights Privacy Policy. I am now exploring other ways to support the environment.
Please try the new version – I hope you’ll enjoy using Web Highlights again.

Like any add-on, it takes up some memory, and on occasion it has slowed down my internet response time on some applications. I simply disable the feature during those times, but it is a valuable tool in highlighting text for the articles and studies that I like to read.
- Ever find yourself coming back to a page to reference the important text? Well, highlight it!
That way you can see what you wanted to remember at a glance in your Web Highlights dashboard, or even go to the page and find your highlights in the text.

The only issue is when taking notes if I press the `s` button it toggles the web-highlighter menu on/off. Thus I'm unable to use `s` when taking notes on it.
