This new version of WOT is a nice improvement with a cleaner UI, more logical UX, and simpler settings. That said, these things mean nothing when it isn't working. Bugs include:
- Inability to sign in from the WOT button (keeps processing, never logs you in)
- Website ratings in search engines not showing up at all, despite setting being enabled
- WOT logo in Menu bar grayed out for all websites, showing no rating even for most popular sites
Fix these and the extension will be great.
Conceptually, I'm on the fence about WOT because a lot of users rate websites poorly just because they dislike a company or organization, when in reality the website has no security or other risks... but not including that in my rating here.

This has not been updated in over a year. About 15 months. 2024 vs 2026 A lot has happened in browser technology in the last year.

I narrowed down super slow response times to this addon. I have other things and this is the only one slowing it down. From nearly instant responses to 8+ seconds. 8 seconds is a long time. I believe it was at least 30 seconds when I started trying to narrow down the issue. Yes even for a simple site.

I am switching over to Eset which offers more than simple a site review (NOT that I want WOT to offer more. Focus on the thing you CAN be good at).

I must say that I really like that with WOT you the user can also issue reviews and star ratings. Especially given that they often differ from the WOT's assessment.

If you didn't take forever to load I'd prefer you over most.

Yes, I removed a ALL extensions when testing for the poor performer. So, no, its not just a conflict between extensions.
