B.J. Herbison 님, 9년 전When I create a new tab I have a purpose. At best text on the blank new tab page is ignored, at worst it distracts me from my task.
One nit: The extension doesn't distinguish private mode. It was nice (before installing) to see a reminder I was in private mode with each new tab.

As far as I know, it's not currently possible for extensions to choose to override new tabs in normal windows only. There is a Firefox bug filed to disallow overriding the new tab page in private windows though (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1324384), so when that's changed in Firefox it should work as you wish.
