Avoid this kind of useless shop-savings extensions that in facts can spy what you are looking on the internet, it's just collecting informations on you to profile you and similar customers to finally target ads/products/services. That's desguished spyware in counterpart to provide you a pretended nice service for free.
And just about the service provided: this kind of extensions (lots of similar exist like this one) can modify the webpages on-the-fly and also can censure some parts or search results to guide you to buy to a specific shop... instead of a concurrent. And guess who is paying the extension editor to do that? Sellers?
Just look at what this extension is requiring at the Permissions part...
Mind again before adding browser extensions!

The permissions set by our extension allow it to track your eligible purchases for Cash Back. Our Members may also use our services without adding our Cash Back Button extension. It is just one of the many ways we offer to our Members to make our services work for them. They may shop through our website (Rakuten.com) or through our mobile app (available on Android phones, iPhones, and iPads) as well. - 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 18488372 님, 4달 전Installed and two out of two purchases did not track. Simply doesn't work. Contacted Rakuten and received the generic "we will reach out" response. Hard to believe there is something worse than their normal tracking. So not only is this add on extremely intrusive with pop ups it doesn't work.
Reply to developer response: How exactly will you "review this" other than to say we'll reach out to the merchant and if they didn't track it then it is the users fault? Fact is there are better cash back sites that actually have relationships with merchants rather than Rakuten's "oh well, it's your fault" response.개발자 답글

I've literally lost hundreds of dollars since this app doesn't work. I've been promised money back, I click on what needs to be done, it's confirmed and NOTHING. It's a scam.

일 년 전에 게시됨If you see you are making Shopping Trips and our extension is activating, then it may be some internet traffic filtering service or VPN is active or an issue with the merchant recognizing the order as eligible for Cash Back through us. - 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 16471973 님, 일 년 전It said 20%. I used this as opposed to a promo with another website for vitamins. I got zilch. Nothing whatsoever after it popped up showing me 20%. Completed order.
