Works well for me, but Close Tab sometimes takes several seconds to take effect, and if I change tabs in the meantime, it is the newly selected one that gets closed. (I would also like if the same gesture could be used to open new tab in foregroung/background and open link in foreground/background, depending on where the gesture is started.)
