RogueKitsune 님, 8년 전Like other I am switching over from Quicksaver's Tab Groups, so there will be plenty of comparisons to it.
The Good...
Pretty much everything UI related is better compared to Tab Groups. I like being able to set an image or colour to group. The menus and such also seem much more responsive.
The Ok...
I like that there are keyboard shortcuts but I would really like to be able to change the keybinding back to "ctrl + `" and "ctrl + shift + `"
The Bad...
Migrating from Quicksaver's Tab Groups to Simple Tab Groups was a bit rough. First I made sure to "back up" my tab groups by bookmarking them in folder named after their group. Then I installed Simple Tab Groups and disabled Tab Groups. After restarting only a few of my tabs showed up in a group even though the group had a tab count 563. So I restarted Firefox again. This time all my tabs showed up but I now had two groups with each with a copy of all my tabs. Repeating opening and closing Firefox continued the duplication of the group even after I started moving tabs into groups. To fix this I had to close all open tabs and restart. After that everything started working fine.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this addon doesn't really like the about:* pages. Opening, for example about:config, does not bind it to a specific group instead it acts more like a pinned tab. In addition about:newtab does not load correctly when coming back to it (search bar, top sites, etc. don't show up)
The Ugly...
I know nothing can be done about it at this time but I still have to complain about it. I hate how this addon switches between groups. Essentially all the "current" tabs are closed and then new tabs are opened with the URLs from the other group.
TLDR
Good addon, but has some areas that need improvement
Disclaimer:
I only run nightly builds of Firefox, so there is a chance the issues I saw were caused by some change/defect in Firefox.

Please update add-on to latest version (v2.2)
In this version I fix duplicate groups/tabs.
About "about:config" and etc.: this is not supported bu Firefox WebExtentions API
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/tabs/create
For security reasons, in Firefox, this may not be a privileged URL. So passing any of the following URLs will fail:
chrome: URLs
javascript: URLs
data: URLs
file: URLs (i.e., files on the filesystem. However, to use a file packaged inside the extension, see below)
privileged about: URLs (for example, about:config, about:addons, about:debugging). Non-privileged URLs (e.g., about:blank) are allowed.
The New Tab page (about:newtab) can be opened if no value for URL is provided.
Version 2.1 and above has option to fast group switching (in options page)
Thanks for your feedback!

Now every time you open FF after closing it, some of the tab groups are in different windows, some might be empty, and the backups just aren't there. This extension has totally lost its purpose as being able to save what you're doing through restarts.

- It's really a good option for the lack of a better one... It gets the job done by hiding tabs from other "workspaces" into the hidden tabs list. Didn't notice a lot of bugs.
But a few things that really push me to use other browsers: it's not as elegant, very simple design, doesn't feel native and natural (compared to vivaldi, arc, zen, opera, etc); and two very annoying things: tab groups don't hidden, but are kinda empty, but still show previews, which brakes immersion and the fact that it spawns a directory every single day in your home folder ("STG-..."), and never cleans it up. My favorite browser extension, hands down. Yes, the last Firefox update broke it. Need your tabs back? Settings > Backup Your Simple Tab Groups > Enable Auto-backup (you should be doing this anyway). Then Restore Backup every time you relaunch Firefox. (I delete existing data and revert to my last save.)
That's how I'm managing until the maintainer updates this extension. (Based on their location in Ukraine, I'm willing to give them some slack.)

It's okay. But your max is going to be 4 groups before tabs/browser starts to feel laggy on MacOS.

Nope, great Idea but every some updates it kills everything and is not relaible. Now lost 200 tabs ....
All open tabs that were not in a group suddenly disappeared, as I was managing groups. They only reappeared again when the extension was uninstalled. That's a terrible user experience. Avoid.
- This is a super helpful extension!
There is one thing that could be improved. It would be great if the native Firefox groups remained related to the tab group. When I switch groups using Simple Tab Groups, the Firefox groups disappear along with the tabs. It's like having tabs and groups within groups. One of the most confusing interfaces, and most unpredictable interactions of any add-on I've used to date.
I created 4 tab groups -- social media & news; payments & banking; messaging; shopping cart. I populated each with several url's that I go to frequently. I created each group in a separate window and then selected the set of tabs and created the group. So far so good.
The next day I come back, I'm on tab in my shopping cart group which I had open and then select the group social media, which I had closed the evening before. It opens in the shopping cart group. Worse, it empties out my social media group, which is now for some reason associated with the shopping cart. So I have to recreate the group on new window and remove them from the shopping cart. Why? I have no idea.
Worse, if I try to move the tabs from my shopping cart by putting them in my original social media group, it tells me the shopping cart group is closed. Why? I have no idea.
This add-on seems so simple, yet, none of the features makes sense in its implementation. This could be a great add-on if it had any consistency. I'm still using it, but every day I have to reset one or more of my tab groups, scratching my head each time.
Consistency. This is not...
