That's a great point about making Shift+Click and Ctrl+Click more discoverable; I've added a bullet point to the description like you suggested, and I'll see if I can add another screenshot to illustrate it better. I've also made a note to see if I can clarify/add a hint to the context menu for a future release. Thanks for the suggestion and the feedback!

And in case you haven't found it already, Tab Stash 2.6 just added an import feature in the menu (next to the search bar) which you can use to bring your OneTab tabs into Tab Stash. Just copy/paste the exported URLs from OneTab and Tab Stash will take care of the rest. (And if you ever decide you want to go back, you can export to OneTab too.)
