- it worked very well for the first few months, but recently the audio has began bugging.
im not sure how to explain it well, but it kind of sounds like those annoying "earrape" (for lack of a better word) audios people use to troll with. ill listen to a video from bed and the audio will be fine, it goes quiet for a moment and then starts blasting like that, and i have to get up to fix it.
it usually fixes if i just pause the video and unpause it, but its been getting worse where it happens a lot more often than usual, (sometimes every ~5 mins) doesnt stop after one pause, etc. and its gotten very annoying.
the extension is nearly perfect but this one thing just completely ruins it.개발자 답글
하루 전에 게시됨I added a ton of patches, 6.6 is still pending update approval from FireFox, but if you go to the support page you can sideload and test.
I never experienced the issue you mentioned yourself, but any possible flaws have been fixed in 6.6 - 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 19939033 님, 한 달 전Twitch audio breaks while the extension is active. Also doesn't work on most websites.

10일 전에 게시됨This is a limitation of the site, the script should no longer have audio blocking but it will only let you lower volume on sites with strict CSP. Works perfectly on sites where I don't need it. Great.

일 년 전에 게시됨It really shouldn't the only reason it should crackle is if you turn the volume past 0db because some audio sources might peak.
Your issue of audio crackling is usually a non-grounded auxiliary or, a high memory latency / memory bug.
When I was on z97 and had my memory set to 2133mhz [a very high xmp value for ddr3] the audio constantly crackled when running certain applications. This can also be experienced when running with a lack of buffer while using an ASIO driver.
Completely unrelated to the plugin itself but maybe exacerbated by it.개발자 답글
일 년 전에 게시됨If you open the popup to control the volume then on most sites that have html video it should be able to increase the volume unless the site employs a strict CSP.
Do you mind trying again and updating your review? I added error handling that tells you why its not working.- No longer works on Meta-owned sites, which are the entire reason I installed it (given Facebook videos have no volume sliders). Trying to use it on Facebook or Instagram since the latest update now causes a "This site is in the exclusions list" despite having not changed any settings on my end. I'm sure this is due to a change with Meta, but it defeats the purpose of this extension for me.

Please paste your log in the github issues..... you can also temporarily downgrade to an older edition from the github releases page or the versions page on mozilla https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/volume-control-boost-volume/versions/

일 년 전에 게시됨Its because steam blocks it in their CSP, sadly lots of CDNs do.
I could individually add each one to the FQDNS list, but like you said that's a lot of hassle and it has to be reaproved by mozzila everytime etc.
The way audio source is pulled is on page load. If it's doing it too late lots of sites won't interact with the plugin. Where as its an issue on sites with strict CSP as then it just blocks audio.
So sadly there's nothing I can do about it, without further reducing compatible sites.
Could maybe make a whitelist mode instead of a blacklist mode in the future.

일 년 전에 게시됨It works but some sites have CSP rules that block it from initializing/breaks audio. Add those sites to the blocklist in the settings.
