A lightweight Firefox extension that prevents YouTube from interrupting playback with the “Continue watching?” dialog. Perfect for 🎵 music playlists, 🎙️ podcasts, 📚 lectures, 🌙 ambient videos, and other long-form content. 💯 Free & open-source 🔓 Publicly available on GitHub: 👉 https://github.com/LabinatorSolutions/youtube-uninterrupted Contributions, issues, and pull requests are always welcome! 🎯 Why This Exists YouTube automatically pauses videos after a period of inactivity and shows a “Video paused. Continue watching?” prompt. This extension removes that interruption so your content keeps playing when you’re still listening or watching. Ideal use cases:

🎵 Music playlists & albums
🎙️ Podcasts & long-form discussions
🌙 Ambient videos (rain, lo-fi, white noise)
📚 Educational videos & lectures
🎮 Livestreams & VODs

Important: 🚫 This extension does not block ads 💰 It does not interfere with monetization 🎛️ It only prevents the passive viewing timeout dialog

✨ Key Features

🧠 Automatic Dialog Removal — A 3-layer system ensures the popup never appears
💻📱 Desktop & Mobile Support — Works on www.youtube.com and m.youtube.com
🔒 Minimal Permissions — YouTube access only
🕵️ Zero Data Collection — No tracking, no telemetry, ever
⚡ Lightweight & Efficient — Minimal CPU and memory usage
🎚️ Easy Toggle — Simple on/off switch in the popup

🛡️ How It Works For maximum reliability, the extension uses a multi-layered approach: 🧱 Layer 1: CSS Injection Hides the dialog instantly using targeted CSS—before JavaScript even runs. 👀 Layer 2: DOM Monitoring A MutationObserver watches for the dialog and removes it immediately if detected. 🖱️ Layer 3: Activity Simulation Periodically simulates minimal user activity (e.g., mouse movement events) to reset YouTube’s idle timer and prevent the dialog from triggering at all. 🎮 How to Use
