Would be perfect if double click could reset speed ;)

edit: its has glitch with youtube's new player in theater mode

Hey, I have updated the extension according to your suggestion!
Now you can reset the speed by double clicking on the playback speed text.
and also I have fixed the keyboard shortcuts, now you can adjust the speed using 'a' and 'd'.

Exactly what I needed to get past the new paywalling of speed control on Youtube. It works perfectly so far and is easier to access than the old way of going into setting on top of the fact that it allows me more reasons to not pay for Youtube Premium lol.
