Search by Image Autor: Armin Sebastian

It works pretty well for searching for images on a webpage, however I kind of wish it worked a bit more like what is available on Google Chrome, where you can select an area of the webpage (kind of like screenshotting) to search on websites that have some sort of overlay on the images.

Data: rok temuYou can select an area of the web page using the Capture search mode. The search mode can be set independently for the context menu and the browser toolbar from the extension's options.
You could also enable the "Use deep search when selecting images" option to continue searching with the Select URL or Select Image search modes. When enabled, the extension extracts all images from the clicked area, even if an overlay image was immediately found. If multiple images are found, you can select the one you need from a popup that lists the images along with their dimensions.

Data: 2 miesiące temuIt's a new security feature in Firefox 153, you now need to give file URL access to the extension to continue searching with local images opened in a tab.
Please go to about:addons, click on Search by Image to open the extension's details and visit the "Permissions and data" tab to find the optional permission. The relevant permission is "Access local files on your computer", which is poorly named in my opinion, and will surely confuse and alarm users.
The same permission is named "Allow access to file URLs" in Chrome, which is much less vague and alarming.

A huge plus for being able to customize the list of search engines (Google, Yandex, TinEye, etc.) and search either via a single engine or all of them at once. Works flawlessly.
