I know you went for simplicity, but it would really be nice to have an option to "block overlays by default" with a site whitelist. Some sites like reddit with their nag banner to get you to join have this pop up every time you hit the front page have gotten beyond annoying and this solves the issue, but the default block and whitelist would take it to the next level.
