Not perfect but better than discontinuing it:(. It's very useful, I don't know why I would shop online using a capital one rather than chase that's on autopay if I can't create virtual cards and bind them to one merchant while on that merchant's website. I don't want to give google wallet my credit card number.

Why are you discontinuing this? It is very useful and easy to use and makes me feel secure using my Capital One credit card online.

Note to others upset with this being discontinued. Call Capital One and tell them to reconsider. I have spoken to a manager and they are bringing it to their meeting but we will need more voices all asking for this to stay.

The Eno browser extension will be discontinued on September 30, 2026 --- What?! Why?!


I buy a lot of things online and as a result I've sadly had my credit card number compromised several times. With this extension it made me not afraid to use my card on a website knowing even if the card number was leaked/stolen from there it would not effect the card number I use on other sites. I've created almost 300 different cards over the years and its been super easy from this extension. As of Sept 30th this will no longer be a thing.

Looks like you can still have *A* virtual credit card number after this goes away but one virtual number is just barely better then not having any at all. If I use my virtual number on 300 websites and one of them gets hacked then its pretty much the same problem I have to deal with, updating my number on 300 websites. When it was a unique card number created on the fly for that merchant through this extension.

I seriously hope CapitalOne takes user feedback into consideration before Sept 30th because this really stinks.

Aug 25, 2026-I've used this extension for years, it has helped me protect my real card number countless times.
Capital One lead the way with virtual cards and this very useful extension. I wonder how many one star reviews were for earlier versions and have not been updated by users.

I'm deeply troubled to learn that the extension will be discontinued at the end of September 2026. To create a virtual card without the extension is a very elaborate process: open a new tab, log into capital one, go to virtual cards, create a new virtual card, copy all of the information back to the original tab.

This will be very difficult for a lot of users who are used to having the convenience of this marvelous extension. I hate to think that people will not take advantage of the virtual card system without the extension to help them and will enter their actual card number, exposing it and them online.

The addon is not downloadable from the website, it's says download failed. It's great to use this addon since no other credit card allows us to create a different card number for every merchant, but due to download issues, giving 4 stars. Please correct the download link. Thanks!

Garbage. Asks to login, then doesn't login. Is this even legit from Capital One or is it something that is just harvesting credentials?

Constantly freezes on "Checking session" or "Looking for virtual cards" and needs pages to be refreshed upwards of 10 times to use a card. Truly a horrible app.

Eno used to be really good, but no matter how many times I've uninstalled and reinstalled it over the last year, it almost never works. The extension disregards my request to stay logged in, so every time I try to use it, I need to log in, and then the window just hangs forever on 'checking session.' Just to damage my own sanity, I've left windows open for 30+ minutes, and still, it never logs in. Kind of amazing, honestly.

THIS ENO APP FROM CAPITAL ONE REQUIRES ME TO ALLOW THEM TO SEE EVERY WEBSITE I VISIT. I don't want to give that much of my personal data no matter what, and especially to give it to them for free.

It works nearly everywhere I have used it, and the copy/paste works on sites where it doesn't work automatically. I moved to Capital One to get virtual cards, and I didn't know how easy it would be to use.

When Eno works, it's great. Eno doesn't work on every website, e.g. Home Depot. In these cases, you can generate a virtual number on the Cap One website then paste it in to the merchant site.

Works most of the time. Very handy to generate CC and I can shut them off too which has saved me numerous times from unscrupulous vendors

this is not perfect by any means, but no other credit card provider offers this service of being able to use a new virtual card for each merchant. So I'm giving this 5 stars.

Used to work, gradually became less and less reliable. works almost never now. Frequently stalls on login, retrieving card, etc. Will offer up a card for certain sites, then reject the transaction for being the wrong site. Finally just uninstalled it.

Simply doesn't work. Stuck at " I'm checking on your number now "

Does not work. Asks for my phone number then spams the console with unhandled exceptions while it loads indefinitely
