Tried a couple of the more popular ones then this and was struck by the superior visibility and clarity of the tab headers immediately. Absolutely superb design work and very practical compared to the others I tried where visibility and lack of contrast between background and text didn't really work for me.

There's a bit in the movie Hackers (1996) that looks similar. The Da Vinci Virus shows a bunch of fancy math floating in space when it launches.
