I'm not sure how to proceed: On windows 10, I run the -install command but I am prompted to choose which program with which to open the file, and am not prompted to select my desired browser.

Windows is currently unsupported, there is a pending PR that implements the communication (DBUS) component, but I also need to rewrite the installer to support the Windows terminal.

Было бы лучше. Если при открытии картинки в браузере, на устройство передавалась картинка (файл), а не ссылка.
