Downloaded this to translate a Japanese livestream on Youtube. Nothing happened. No live translation. No Chat translation. Nothing. Even while running from the extention. All permissions given. Nothing.

Did not work for me on Zen Browser

the hyperchat only works on youtube but not on twitch, the live stream translate feature doesn't work at all. who made this useless extension???

For some reason it's even laggier than the normal YouTube chat. Videos buffer even on VODs, and my browser experiences freezes.
I tried giving this add-on multiple chances, but I see no reason why I would switch over from ytcFilter with the default YouTube chat.

5/30/2024 review:

For this addon, livechat says I'm logged off, even though I'm already logged in to YouTube. Started occurring on Firefox update 126.0.1

For people studying Japanese, this is a very good study tool for gathering real-time translations and then reviewing the script and spoken JP after stream ends.

Some suggestions:

(1) Would like to see it show translations when it's not live.

(2) When skipping to a certain time frame, all subs are loaded appropriately.

(3) Have the option to show the "watching now | started streaming" stats, as well as the description.
