Regarding the address bar, what are the troublesome lighting conditions, could this possible be fixed by brightness adjustment of your monitor and what do you think would be a good solution ?

You could also give the variation of this theme "Modern Theme Green" a try, which uses a neon green instead of the orange and see if it fits your circumstances better.
