от Brother Charles, 2 года назадThank you, ACK-J - this little extension works well. However, I've only rated it 3 stars because sometimes it proves to be a somewhat counter-productive annoyance. This plugin really, really needs a "whitelisting" option. For example, I can't log in and use box(dot)com and a couple of other sites/services that I use to backup my files online, unless I remember to temporarily disable 'Port Authority'. Please add a whitelisting option - that will make it a fully 5 star extension.

That to me is a sign that this plug-in works. - Оценено на 4 из 5от zekromVale, 3 месяца назадPlease remove blocking local IP addresses, had enough issues setting up Mainsail. Or just add wildcard supports. Like 10.*.*.* or *.*.lan. Otherwise it's a fine extension unless your a tinkerer.

Now, this may mean there should be refinements or other adjustments -- this is just my longer term experience, and I had to disable it. The extension does expose an area that I feel Firefox should protect against natively, however.

размещено год назадuBlock origin is a great extension that I personally use. It accomplishes the same goal when configured with the "block outside intrusions to lan" list, but that wasn't always the case. Back when I first created port authority in March 2021 uBlock didn't have a LAN list.
This extension spurred conversation within the community which eventually led to them adding it in November 2021, which I think is pretty cool!

The benefit of port authority is the notifications and UI surrounding which portscanning and lexisnexis requests were blocked.
