- Betygsatt 1 av 5av explodingcows54, för 3 dagar sedanvery commonly see transmeds (people who police transness) marked as green and trans men marked as red, with no evidence theyre anti trans or trans friendly. lacks unbiased review.

- Betygsatt 1 av 5av Firefox-användare 19938679, för 9 dagar sedanHorribly transphobic extension! It marks trans men/mascs, nonbinary people, and intersex people as "transphobic" for simply talking about the oppression they face, meanwhile trans women/fems are allowed to be as racist, ableist, and laterally queerphobic as they want, and they're somehow fine. The creators of this extension should be ashamed of themselves. At best, there's no oversight or verification of any kind to prevent this, and at worst, this is something they actively encourage. Absolutely disgusting.

- Betygsatt 1 av 5av BB, för 14 dagar sedanRather than correctly marking people as trans friendly/anti-trans it's being weaponized to pit Trans siblings against each other. Unless you're purposely trying to fracture the trans community, DO NOT INSTALL. Shinigami eyes cannot be trusted.

- Betygsatt 1 av 5av Firefox-användare 19975913, för 20 dagar sedanthis is not useful, easy for misinformation to spread via mass flagging campaigns. it is better to make your own opinions of someone. similar to AI it is not good to outsource your thinking ability.
- Betygsatt 1 av 5av matrix900, för en månad sedanthis might actually be THE most transphobic extension ever created. like genuinely this thing hates trans people so much its unreal

- Betygsatt 1 av 5av marie, för en månad sedanunfortunately it's useless when you can't see why someone was flagged. a lot of people criticizing anti transmasculinity get flagged as red and a lot of straight up bigoted, enbyphobic, people who hate trans men get flagged green with no way to correct that. I'm very disappointed
- Betygsatt 1 av 5av hatsune piku, för en månad sedanHaven't had this extension installed for years. Went to see just how bad it's supposedly gotten and. Yeah they weren't kidding. Tons of trans-friendly blogs marked red, and people who will say the most hateful things you've ever read about a group of trans people will be marked green. It has been taken over by those pushing the new wave of radical feminism with a "trans-friendly" coat of paint. And make no mistake: it is absolutely repackaged radfem rhetoric. It serves only to divide the community and isolate vulnerable transfeminine people.

- Betygsatt 1 av 5av experimentsixtwofive, för en månad sedanUnreliable; frequently flags the wrong accounts
This extension was originally a great concept, but the database has been compromised by inaccurate reporting. A significant number of accounts currently flagged red are run by nonbinary, intersex, and transmasculine creators who actively promote trans-positivity.
Many users trust this tool to help them navigate online spaces safely, but it's currently doing the opposite by promoting false accusations and internal division. The developers need to step in, audit the database, and establish proper verification protocols.
I highly recommend avoiding this tool until it's properly moderated. - Betygsatt 1 av 5av iryskanotfound, för en månad sedanwhy are all trans men marked red? why people saying transandrophobia isn't real are marked green?
me when everyone who's not transfem is a bigot, but apparently not alexander lukashenko - Betygsatt 1 av 5av LenaraSys, för en månad sedanInstalled it to check what all the drama was about, checked only on tumblr.
Reviews claim news articles and such are often marked correctly, which I have not tested and can thus not comment on.
Accounts marked green were a crapshoot between "good trans advocate" and "at bare minimum raising eyebrows with their stances on transmen or enbies".
Meanwhile of all the accounts I follow that were marked red, multiple were positivity accounts for more 'niche' or 'controverse' topics - including accounts for enby-related stuff, xenogenders, or even one that just spreads positivity about all types of plural systems.
At least one of which had nothing to do with transness at all? But I digress.
Multiple accounts that were outspoken about transmasc issues who dared occasionally point out transfems who were hostile towards transmascs were also marked red, despite not being transmisogynistic.
As such, my final verdict:
Either due to a lack of moderation, deliberate misuse by the community, or both, this tool has gone from a good idea to falsely marking innocent users as red for mild disagreements, oft with transphobic intent (how ironic).
I cannot reccommend using it.
If you still decide to use it, at least don't take the red or green markers as definitive - actually check accounts, and consider critically why someone might have been marked green or red.
(Additionally, accounts that praise shinigami eyes to the high heavens whilst unwilling to admit any flaws with it are sus as hell, which is useful when using tumblr as well.) - Betygsatt 1 av 5av River, för en månad sedanGot marked red on tumblr for being therian/otherkin. This plugin is a joke with how much it's used for infighting/discourse and weaponized against people who are intersex, nonbinary, or transmasc(and apparently nonhuman identifying individuals now too)
- Betygsatt 1 av 5av Minerva, för en månad sedanunfortunately now a transphobic tool... of course i understand wanting to protect my trans sisters but not at the cost of hurting my trans brothers...
- Betygsatt 1 av 5av Beth T., för en månad sedanI heard pretty bad things, but I used to use this back in the day when it was still good, so I decided to test it. I can confirm; it's bad. It's not the way it used to be.
I did extensive research on who was marked by this extension, and tested on multiple browsers. I went through over 20 tumblr blogs over the course of a couple days. Plenty of the blogs marked red had no history of transphobia even after over an hour of searching their post history. Even one blog, that I'd been following for years and had shown not even the slightest hint of transphobia or controversy, was marked red. I only found one or two blogs marked red that were actually transphobic, and I would not have needed shinigami eyes to tell. It was clear simply from looking at what they wrote in their profiles (self-identifying as transphobic, for example). So, in terms of identifying transphobes at a glance, shinigami eyes has so far not been helpful.
What I find interesting (and concerning), however, is the common thread of blogs marked red. What all blogs marked red that weren't transphobic (which was almost all of the ones I found) shared in common was that they spoke on the issues trans men, intersex people, and nonbinary people face - or, shared positivity and showed kindness towards those groups. Moreover, blogs that were actively hostile towards trans men, intersex, and nonbinary people, tended to more often be marked green. I was more focused on investigating the red blogs, but from what I saw, green blogs were often quite transphobic as well or did not have enough evidence to prove that they were trans-friendly as the guidelines for markings state.
I tried to see if I could correct these issues, seeing as shinigami eyes is, supposedly, community run in their tags. However, clearing someone's name did not update them on other browsers - even after waiting a considerable amount of time for it to hopefully update. This leads me to believe that tagging is only local, and that global tags (what everyone sees) are done by the developers/mod team of shinigami eyes. Therefore, there is no true way to correct someone's marking. I have seen rumors floating that AI is involved in the tagging, but can find no evidence for or against this claim.
TL;DR
This is NOT useful for trans safety. You will end up blocking a lot of innocent people, and possibly following some very unkind people with harmful beliefs. - Betygsatt 1 av 5av Firefox-användare 19952254, för 2 månader sedanthis extension doesn't work if you care about nonbinary people. plenty of people who post awful things about nonbinary people are marked green, so this extension is not very useful for me.
