Disgrace that Mozilla is still promoting this. Look up the history of the company behind it. They make money FROM ADS. They had malicious features in the past, they have a horrible past with free text scam sites ... and a load of very very shady connections to the advertising industry. This Addon is a oxymoron, use uBlock origin or adNauseam instead, please!

And their response to this is total BS! See how they not address any of my statement! I had reviews deleted by the devs of this addon in the past. This is NOT a misunderstanding! I am perfectly well informed about how they in FACT make money from ads and their past! And I never disputed that you can turn of acceptable ads. The key detail is they are turned on by default to make them money! And they can spin and frame it all they want, if the users where in control they would not turn them on by default! They would not even have them at all like in uBlock Origin!

Look how they have a "Support Team" tasked with whitewashing.

There seems to be some misunderstandings about our Acceptable Ads Initiative. Users are still in control, and can disable “allow acceptable ads” in options. If you still experience ads with this option disabled, please be advised that these are more than likely NOT Acceptable Ads. In these cases please send us the URL along with a screenshot of your subscribed filter lists to support@adblockplus.org. We are usually able to get these reported to the filter list team and resolved. Rest assured no company can pay us to have their ads shown. Publishers have to meet the criteria set by the Acceptable Ads Committee before being considered. Most companies actually pay us nothing at all.     I like the ads blocking. I wish it had a way to actively save the whitelist. I keep having to re whitelist things, with an import / export of the config files.

    We appreciate your feedback. We use a system called smart allowlisting: if you do not visit a website that you have allowlisted within 7 days, it gets automatically removed from your allowlisted websites. If you visit it in 7 days, it will get renewed for another 7 days.

    Работает, наверно, лучше всех среди бесплатных адблоков. Иногда на некоторых сайтах проскакивает реклама, но ее можно зарепортить и ее через какое то время убирают

    it says it blocks ads on Yahoo Mail, but it doesn't. Nor on Yahoo.com. at least not on my computer.

    For non-Premium users, our payment page displays when we update the extension to keep you informed on changes we've made and as a reminder to consider upgrading to Premium. There is no obligation to upgrade and you can dismiss the page by clicking the "x" on the browser tab. You can also dismiss this page by going to the Advanced tab on your ABP settings and unchecking the box next to "Allow Adblock Plus to show occasional promotional messages."

    Creates multiple virus like software applications that are intentionally hard to uninstall. Also not a reputable company, takes your information and tries to hide it from you that they do it.

    I wish there was a Zero rating, I get a pop up on Edge, saying "We have blocked 5,245,388 ads for you!", here are what is wrong with that.

    1. only tried this add on about a year ago and I took it off, so why is it asking me for money?

    2. Why is it popping up on edge...I never put an add on there.

    3. I never used edge so how can it stop 5,245,388 ads for me when I never used the browser for more than 10 minutes at most, ever.

    This add on is a scam, this add on is dangerous.
