It now has the option to toggle active mode using the menu/mouse, so I'm satisfied with that. Thanks for the quick update! My only other minor quabble is that things don't seem to highlight the way they did in 1.x - e.g. a horizontal bar (my niche need) doesn't highlight at all, but I was still able to delete it.

This has been a go-to add-on for years, but the new version has some usability issues (aside from those forced by Firefox).

If you use the Firefox setting where typing results in a text search, the Activate Nuke option by key doesn't work. This means I'm limited to the "Remove this object" option, which no longer highlights the object to be removed.

I use Nuke to help minimize content before creating a PDF, and sometimes need very specific things removed where the mouse has to be at exactly the right spot (like removing horizontal bars). The highlighting made that possible. Now, I have to try/fail/try repeat, and it's not good.

Perhaps if the Activate Nuke could be toggled by mouse instead of keystroke, or by menu icon like Page Eraser on Chrome.

I can do that...

[edit] This is now supported in ver 2.1, you can [ctrl]+click to remove items instead of using the keyboard.

    WIN 11 bites and allows less and LESS user controls. beside the NUMEROUS annoyances, one major thing is the blocking of the "PRINT SELECTION" function in the printer dialog. There 'used to be' an addon that STOPPED the website from blocking this function ~ gone?! So after trying more than a dozen I discovered this works quickly and simply. In my case I have to PRODUCE a banking transaction statement BUT DON'T WISH TO SHARE! (account number, name, bank name, and any other ID info). I got the HANG of this module in a minute, and 2 minutes had a VIABLE PRINT that was NOT screwed up by the sniffing of the site (several locked the site, kicked me out as soon as I tried to use them, and WORSE!) This module did NONE of that and appeared 'invisible' to sniffing. Even after bouncing back and forth on the site. The module is a simple on/off, press the "X" and see what happens, "U" to undo, then back/forward button resets the page!!! TOO COOL!!!! A great big thank YOU!!!

    So helpful! Pesky pop-ups/overlays that won't go away are easily removed. (Much more convenient than inspect/dev-tools, IMO!)

    Tried it on tor ffox browser. DOes not work. Can't reliably select and keep sections you want nuked. Waste of time. yeah you can make the selection but it will disappear soon as you move you cursor somewhere. ublock origin is much more stable, reliable and keeps the settings until you delete them.

    I don't understand why anyone needs this over Developer Tools and Inspector tab.

    Users have to refresh a page. I don't see how this add-on adds anything over Developer Tools and Inspector tab.

    its good and have a nice idea, but it is not persistent if you reload the page the object will appear again

    Works pretty well, except the "Toggle X to remove" option doesn't work on many websites. I think it might be that they're intercepting the keypress or something.

    Would be great to get that fixed!

    Where (reviewer) ander could not nuke a sidebar, I had no difficulty. The context menu worked as expected.

    Nuke Anything 2.4 added to home-built Waterfox Classic 2019.12.
