This does NOT generate QR codes in your context menu. (In other words, it does NOT allow you to select what URL you're displaying to yourself.)
So the FUNDAMENTAL USE CASE of "I am reading something but need to poop" is not addressed. You can NOT quickly right-click the thing you're looking at and bring it to your phone. You can ONLY see the base website that rendered it to begin with.
E.g. you can link back to google.com, but you can't push search results page from your desktop to your phone. The QR code will just be to google.com

    I don't understand the bad reviews: the extension works fine and doesn't add tracking junk to the qr codes it generate.

    Funciona, pero le falta la opción que uno mismo pueda escribir su propia URL sin salirse de la página.

    So instead suggesting a feature you rate an add-on that "works", as you admit, with one out of 5 stars?

    Because it didn't read your mind and youbare iapt to implement such feature yourself? What made you develop such an attitude, what makes you feel entitled?

    not open source, not private, better use offline generator... thx to qr for the reply. just by having code than can be extracted, does not make it open source. Put it to git or somewhere else and make a link to the repo like others do, so source can be reviewed and trusted.

    The extension .crx file is just a .zip file: append a ".zip" to it and have a look inside. You'll find unobscured code that is easy to read and understand (basic understanding of WebApps provided). You might be interested, that the extension works with minimal permissions, too.

    So please educate yourself before trying to "educate" others.
