the app works great, but if i used betterttv addon to move the chat from right to the left of the streams, vertical twitch breaks and the chat appeared over the stream. can u update your addon so that it wont matter if the chat is on the right or on the left before i use vertical twitch? hopefully this request is not to much of a bother to you. thank you

I have 3 monitors with the middle being vertical and the one I prefer to watch Twitch on and I am so glad that I found this, no idea why they don't have their own vertical setting.

Sometimes the app bugs out and will make the chat the entire page or will keep shrinking the video when you try to adjust the video to chat ration however I find refreshing will usually fix that so personally I don't consider it to be a real problem compared to the utility of the app

Would love if it saved the last position I resized to so I don't have to manually resize every time I use it.

Also, wish I could default to the headerless mode & remove the 1st option.
Edit: I found you can change what the player defaults to (which is nice!), but I often swap between monitors so It still requires lots of manual mode switching. I wonder if it would be possible to auto enable / disable depending on the browsers aspect ratio? ex: If the browser window is 4:3 or less auto enable vertical theater mode.

Regardless, this is a super handy addon for vertical monitor users.

Nice, but doesn't work for VODs?

Its good when its working but it bugs out sometimes, and right now it doesn't work at all, the button to change views and place chat vertically isn't there as of today..

A must plug-in since I watch Twitch on a vertical monitor. And suddenly it doesn't work at all. The button has completely disappeared. Completely rendered useless. Boooo!

EDIT: Dev responded with a new update within one day!! And it works again! YAAYYYYYY!!! (Thanks so much, Dev!)

Back up to 5 stars! The developer fixed the problem, and it seems to be working better than it has in months!

Side note to dev: It's not a problem, but as a FYI, the button is now entirely black on both browsers.

Unfortunately not working as of a few weeks ago (2024-05-07), selecting vertical mode overlays the chat on top of the video, making it unwatchable.

When it works, it's great, I have a veritcle second monitor that I read stuff on, and that's good to lurk streams on. Right now there's an issue where chat is alligning to the top of the window rather than the bottom, which covers the stream.

Great extension! I would love to be able to hide the vertical bar of followed streams on the left though, that'd be perfect!

Edit : 24h after my review, Vertical Theatre was available. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but I love it!

I like to put streams i watch on my vertical monitor, and this extension works flawlessly on Chrome.
Using this extension on Firefox causes the vertical mode to exit to default by itself if i click out of the window and clicking back into it. It's quite annoying because i nee to enter vertical mode each time i want to write to the streamer.
I'll give this extension 5 stars if this bug can be fixed.
