    Don't know if it improved youtube search, but it DID love to randomly open up a new tab for their settings without my input or consent far too often for me to have any feelings but contempt for this extension.

    The new tab settings page only opens when the extension has been updated to the latest version. The past two days saw one major and two minor updates pushed in succession.

    Not working to hide watched videos and three months since last update.

    It's ok at the very best, actively worse in cases.
    I wanted to look up the video 'I will be' from the creator ozumiiwizard...

    I searched for 'ozu I will be', and it showed me some stupid mix first and didn't give me the video by itself.

    Ok, maybe YT is dumb, so I'll disable it from showing playlists in search.

    It now no longer shows me ANYTHING related to the song.

    I tried it in a private window, just to see if it's the extension or not... IT IS THE EXTENSION that actively filtered out the video I was searching for.

    It's possible that it did it several times in the past while I was searching for a video I remembered and wanted to rewatch, but I can't know in all honesty.

    If you install this, search for videos to try it out if it actually makes search better for you or not.

    Absolute poo. Its supposed to hide Shorts when searching. THE ONLY THING THAT SHOWS UP IN SEARCH ARE SHORTS, not one single regular video. And don't tell me it's a conflicting plugin, I went so far as to delete every other one I had, and reset the system, to try and troubleshoot the issue.

    Using the same production version as everyone on my system and it works fine for me. Maybe try changing the setting toggles.

    I toggled on the button to hide Shorts but it is not working.

    Hi there, an update has been released and it has a lot of fixes for things that broke since YouTube keeps changing things. I hope you update and enjoy a better experience. Thanks!

    I really have been wanting to get rid of the obtrusive and offensive horizontal list of shorts that come up every time I open youtube. This extension is supposed to help with that, but unfortunately I cannot tell whether it does anything at all, as the shorts are still there. I did check it at the filter settings of the extension and also clicked F5 to reset youtube. I would like to know how to get it to work.

    I apologize for the confusion, but this extension is design to work on the search results page, as mentioned in the name and in the feature list. If you click on the card list toggle, the horizontal list of shorts and cards get removed from the search results feed. Thanks.

    Find selected tag, and look for video
    You see shorts
    Disable shorts (again)
    you still see them
    reload
    you still see them
    uninstall addon

    Yeah this extension doesn't actually work? It hides the category titles but the random unrelated and 'previously viewed' videos are still there just mixed in with the rest of the videos.

    I downloaded this extension to fix search, but it also makes all of these annoying, unnecessary UI changes that cannot be turned off. I am giving this extension a 1 star because other reviews have complained about this for at least a year and the problem still persists.

    for some reason whenever i have this add on enabled it tanks youtube's loading. it gets REALLY slow. not worth the search fixing.
