"supports websites by not blocking unobtrusive ads by default" - translation, those companies that pay to not have their ads blocked...given that business model, how long before every one is paying to not have their ads blocked and Adblock is completely useless?

There are better choices.

Please be advised that no company can simply pay to have their ads shown. Publishers have to meet criteria set by the Acceptable Ads Committee before whitelisting is even considered. Most companies actually pay us nothing at all. Users still have the ability to block these ads by disabling “allow acceptable ads” in options. If you still experience ads with this feature disabled, please send us the URL along with a screenshot of your subscribed filter lists to support@adblockplus.org.     Creates multiple virus like software applications that are intentionally hard to uninstall. Also not a reputable company, takes your information and tries to hide it from you that they do it.

    I wish there was a Zero rating, I get a pop up on Edge, saying "We have blocked 5,245,388 ads for you!", here are what is wrong with that.

    1. only tried this add on about a year ago and I took it off, so why is it asking me for money?

    2. Why is it popping up on edge...I never put an add on there.

    3. I never used edge so how can it stop 5,245,388 ads for me when I never used the browser for more than 10 minutes at most, ever.

    This add on is a scam, this add on is dangerous.

    For non-Premium users, our payment page displays when we update the extension to keep you informed on changes we've made and as a reminder to consider upgrading to Premium. There is no obligation to upgrade and you can dismiss the page by clicking the "x" on the browser tab. You can also dismiss this page by going to the Advanced tab on your ABP settings and unchecking the box next to "Allow Adblock Plus to show occasional promotional messages."

    I LOVE this extension but for the lase week it has slowed my computer to a CRAWL. I know it is this extension because I turned off all extensions and added them back one at a time. I hope you can pinpoint the problem and fix it quick because I would hate to lose this ad blocker!

    Been very good for years, but no longer works on youtube since they change how ads show.
