the default voice is not that great but if you click on the icon and go to options you can find more voices and you can even buy some but i dont think it will go to the person that wrote the addon but even with the free 1sif you go down the list for a while you will see the 2nd google options and those are better play with the pitch and speed to get them pretty good i dont have the disposal income to be spending on the paid 1s but the test they show seems to be even better ifyou go that route any way hope this helped have fun every 1

    It would be great if there were also a context menu option called "Read aloud from here."
    With the standard columns, it always pauses briefly at the end of each line. If it would first analyze the entire sentence and then read it aloud in one go, that would be much more pleasant. I would find pauses between sentences much more pleasant!

    I was having high hopes at first, but then I learned it doesn't let you use the different voices for TTS you may have installed on Windows, for example. I WANT TO LISTEN TO ANDREW'S VOICE DAMMIT (seriously, his TTS voice is really nice on the ears, you'll find it in Narrator settings as a "Natural" voice)

    Keeps skipping sentences - Very annoying. The standard voice sound like a choking tin frog. The AI voices are substantially better. But why is it skipping sentences?

    Just want to counter the people rating one star and saying there's only awful voices. There are really good ones, particularly supertonic. Just download them in the settings and activate them. Seriously, try opening the settings before review bombing.

    Moreover, the native PDF support is quite good. PDFs can cause trouble with this sort of software, yet it works great here.

    It's awesome, you can use different voices for TTS and can setup useful shortcut to run it.

    This extension was great! I have problems seeing font on dark websites because there isn't a light mode toggle on some of them. So, I use to use this to read what was posted. However, I was going to use it again today, it now asks for permission for all open url data when before it just did what it was meant to do. No thank you to that. It'd be great if it returned back to what it originally did.

    Very good. Only problem when i try in normal page it very slow loading or sometimes doesnt load at all. To fix this i open extension options and click test button.When test sound plays(which is very fast) then extension becames responsive and i can play other page i want without waiting or problem.

    The voice volume was so low I could not understand what it was reading. It was so low because the voice sound was coming through my Mac Mini M4 built in speakers and I was about 15 feet distant. There is no apparent means of choosing where the sound output goes.
