One additional star for the clear explanation of what data is collected. - 5 üzerinden 1 puanyazan: drew, bir gün önceStealth updated to now collect personal data, with no justification. Uninstalling.

gönderilme: 17 saat önceKeepa does not track your browsing history or collect personal data. The extension only runs on Amazon product pages to load price charts, and nothing is logged or stored unless you choose to track an item. The "personally identifying information" warning in Firefox is just Mozilla's rigid label for your account login token (not your name or email), and we've asked them to update it. - 5 üzerinden 1 puanyazan: Firefox kullanıcısı 19139831, 2 gün önceThe item tracking and alerts were changed to subscription, not great but I understand, at least it was still working directly on the Amazon website. Then got an alert from Firefox about the extension asking for concerning new permissions.
I guess is time to say goodbye and find new alternatives.Geliştiricinin yanıtı

Mozilla now requires every add-on to declare data categories from a fixed list, and Firefox displays them on update.
What Keepa does: on an Amazon product page it sends that product's ASIN to keepa.com to draw the price chart. It is not logged and not retained. Nothing is stored unless you choose to track a product. The "personally identifying information" line refers to your Keepa session token - a login credential for your own account, not your name or email. We think that's the wrong label and have asked Mozilla to change it to "authentication information".
The extension runs only on Amazon product pages. Geliştiricinin yanıtı

Whether this is abnormal in relation to Mozilla or Amazon guidelines, and GDPR, and the requirements for the developers, I cannot properly evaluate, but I'm still concerned about.
I would encourage the developers and users to eg read Wladimir Palant's blog post titled "Data exfiltration in Keepa Price Tracker".Geliştiricinin yanıtı
gönderilme: 2 gün önceThank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify a few points regarding the blog post and explain the updates we have made to the add-on.
The post by Wladimir Palant contained several sensationalized claims and key factual inaccuracies regarding how our add-on handles data. While we appreciate community oversight, many of the assertions made did not accurately reflect our module’s design or intent.
To eliminate any ambiguity and address user concerns directly, our latest update completely removes all background data collection capabilities. The add-on now functions as a minimalist wrapper designed solely to embed the price history chart, ensuring maximum privacy and transparency while maintaining core functionality.

"Nothing about how Keepa handles data changed in this update.
This unfortunately triggers the "collecting browsing history" permission.
The "personally identifying information" line refers to your Keepa session token - a login credential for your own account, not your name or email. We think that's the wrong label and have asked Mozilla to change it to "authentication information".

Do not blame Keepa for things required by Mozilla.
This kind of "issue" also happens On Google Play.
I'll keep using this addon! - 5 üzerinden 1 puanyazan: Oery, 3 gün öncerandomly asks for invasive permissions without any saying about it would even need them to work

WTF is this? Aww hell nah, UNINSTALLED. NO USER TRACKING!!!!Geliştiricinin yanıtı

Searching online and taking a better look at Keepa's privacy policy, it may be not perfect, but I trust it.
