I've tried Grammarly, ProWritingAid, WordTune, HemmingWayApp, Jasper.ai, Copy.ai, and probably a few more in the past I've forgotten the name of...

And being an avid copywriter, I write A LOT, it's my job to write ALL DAY...

So saying that this is the absolute best software I've ever used so far means something.

Thank you, LanguageTool. You load perfectly fine on every website I use, especially Notion as I use it A LOT, and provide an excellent service with writing suggestions that don't suck, and "disable this rule" options that ACTUALLY WORK (hint hint Grammarly).

I could go on, but then most people wouldn't read this and understand this tool's greatness (I'm using the editor to write this very review!)

I will happily pay for the premium plan when I increase my income as a copywriter using THIS VERY APP.

    The overuse of AI is getting tiring. I dont want an "enhanced experience designed to make my writing sound more professional, eloquent and solid", I want a spellcheck that works on several languages, the list of which I can choose from and customize. It was perfect before, there was no reason to change it

    It is a good tool but you only get a 14 day free trial after which it requires you to pay

    This extension used to be great and it worked perfectly for years. Then all of a sudden it starts with annoying popups all the time and it no longer works. What a shame.

    They changed it today to a fully paid service even for the basic tasks. Can not recommend. Just bait.

    As of September 4, 2026, at 8:54 p.m., this add-on no longer functions as described, which constitutes misleading advertising.

    Now, users with limited financial means are being intentionally excluded—and this is happening at a company that receives public funding, which makes me seriously question its eligibility for such funding.

    The add-on used to be very good, but due to a decision that was made, it’s barely worth 1 star anymore.
    It’s a shame that there are companies that intentionally exclude people.
