Not 5 stars since the software cannot correctly download tests, built-in PDFs in tasks, or URL links. It also opens a new select file window if you have the installation location confirmation option enabled in your browser, so don't forget to untick that for an easier time.
Other than that, if you are willing to spend a couple of minutes to fix those issues, you've got a working course downloader right here.

very useful addon so far! one thing that it doesn't have (or that i wasn't able to find) would be extremely helpful to me is the ability to filter by file type in addition to file names

Helped me a lot throughout my 2 years of MBA. 4* cuz it wont download all the files if they are inside different folders for a course

Tut was es soll, einzige Mankos sind das ich nicht einfach einmal alle meine Kurse herunterladen kann und das schon heruntergeladene Dateien nicht beachtet werden, was zu Dopplungen führen kann.
    Sonst? Brilliant.

Moodle Buddy really helped me save my classes so I can access them even after they got deleted, there is only small room for improvement imo - for example a feature saving the links in moodle courses to text files would be really nice to have as some professors referr to external sources and link them in their moodle courses or beeing able to choose your download location :)

I am glad to hear it has been so helpful! :)

I did think about somehow saving external websites but it seemed kind of difficult. I might rethink how I could offer this functionality.

Choosing a download location outside of the default browser download directory is not possible for security reasons. However, in the Moodle Buddy settings you can configure certain subdirectories where resources should be downloaded to.

    Best regards :)
