I'd like to see explanation then why it was collected up until now, just simply policy was not requiring to explicitly be stated up until now.
Can this really, really cannot be avoided?

Firefox is now showing broader descriptions for existing data like subscription IDs and payment info. It might look alarming, but we are still focused on data minimization and only use what’s essential to provide the service. -L.L.
